Performance & Range

The new Hyundai IONIQ 9 comes in three powertrain configurations, allowing drivers to prioritize their driving needs with their budget. To prioritize driving range, go for the rear-wheel drive model with a single 215-horsepower electric motor. If you know you want all-wheel drive and better overall performance, then upgrade to the all-wheel drive model. For drivers who want to get the most from the instantaneous torque and performance features of an all-electric SUV, the Performance model offers dual motors with 422 horsepower.

No matter which model you choose, it will come standard with a 110.3-kilowatt lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The large battery pack ensures enough power for rapid acceleration, a 5,000-pound towing capacity, and a total range of over 330 miles with the most efficient configuration. The battery can recharge at a max range of 350 kilowatts through compatible public DC fast charging stations, adding 10 to 80 percent capacity in just 24 minutes.

Design & Interior Features

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 takes its design cues from the concept model, the Hyundai Seven, which Hyundai Motor Company debuted in the summer of 2024. While the IONIQ 9 has a more practical design suitable for everyday use, the high style and advanced tech in the futuristic concept model carry over to the real-life version. The biggest promise the IONIQ 9 fulfills is the three rows of seating, which finally offers larger families a suitable option for an electric vehicle that has the space necessary to accommodate their needs.

While practical, the overall design is absolutely stunning, featuring a unique interior that incorporates the minimalist design in other IONIQ models and luxury options like Relaxation Seats with massaging functions, a sliding center console, and upgraded finishes like synthetic leather and suede paired with wool and other sustainable materials.
